The Ethics Commission was created in 1996 as a result of a citizens' vote to amend the Home Rule charter. It is an independent agency with advisory and quasi-judicial powers. Read more

Miami-Dade Lobbyist Training: anyone who registers as a County lobbyist after March 16, 2012, must undergo training provided by the Ethics Commission.

The next training session will be held Monday, May 21, 2012, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Having a Global Impact

Dignitaries from nine Mideast nations visited the Ethics Commission on April 25, 2012, to learn more about its unique role in helping to insure transparency in local goverment. the meeting was part of a program sponsored by The U.S. State Department.
